So how does it work exactly?
Polyester is a type of plastic that can be made from rPET (recycled plastic water bottles). It’s often used to make clothing and other textiles. Unlike other types of plastic, polyester can be recycled over and over without losing it’s quality. This makes it the number 1 sustainable manufacturing material, and our perfect base fabric for our towels.
In addition to being recyclable, recycled polyester fabric is also durable and relatively easy to care for. Ours is blended with other fabrics and post consumer waste that make the fabric soft, beautiful and long lasting. As a company that strives to reduce our environmental impact, recycled polyester is becoming the increasingly popular choice of fabric, and hopefully other brands will start to follow on the same path as saltii.
